Heating and cooling in Frisco
Frisco's Consolidated Fee Schedule, effective 10/1/2026, lists mechanical permit fees of $50.00 "for issuance of each permit." The per-item rows follow: a forced-air furnace is $13.25 at 100,000 Btu/h or less and $16.25 above that. Repair of, alteration of or addition of each heating or cooling appliance is $12.25, each air-handling unit of 10,000 cubic feet or less is $9.50, and a supplemental permit is $10.00. No condensing-unit line appears on the schedule, so the appliance repair and alteration row is the nearest one it prints.

Frisco's permit pages don't name any local code edition. The ACS numbers for 2020 to 2024 bring Frisco's median year built to 2009. Hire first, then use the city's contractor registration status link to see whether that company is registered, which most permits require.
