Hollywood's Comprehensive Schedule of Fees, adopted October 1, 2026 under Resolution R-2026-308, sets a minimum fee of $10 per building discipline for processing air conditioning change outs, among other permits. There's no flat change-out amount. A Broward County surcharge of $0.52 per $1,000 of the value of work, with a minimum of $2, applies to mechanical permits on the same schedule. So do a Technology Fee of 2% and an Educational Fee of 1% of the calculated building permit fee.
